Who is the course for?

This course is for any member of staff who would like to learn more about the HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C viruses so they can ensure that they are not putting themselves (or their clients) at risk of infection whilst at work. The course will explain how these viruses are transmitted and the necessary precautions to take in order to minimise risk.  It is particularly useful for ‘front line’ staff who work with the public or for those who work outside the office e.g. visiting people in their homes, cleaning communal areas.

About the course:

The course will be informal and interactive. It will involve exercises and group work in pairs and small groups as well as in the whole group. Group members will be asked to take part in discussions around the issues raised by exercises. The course will draw upon the experiences of the participants and will involve case study.
