Assertiveness

Who is the course for?

Assertiveness skills are relevant to people at all levels of the organisation as they can help to work towards a workplace in which meaningful communication takes place both within the organisation and with the customer. This course is for anyone who would like to develop a comprehensive set of skills to enable them to behave assertively in a wide range of situations at work and in their personal life. It covers some of the same material as our ‘Introduction to Assertiveness’ (2 day) course but in more depth and includes additional techniques.

This is a 5 day course divided into three modules:

Module 1 – Two days

Module 2 – Two days

Module 3 – One day

We suggest a week between modules to enable participants to practise their skills.

About the course:

The course will be informal and participatory in nature. It will involve exercises and group work in pairs and small groups as well as in the whole group. The course will draw upon the experiences of the participants within the group. Group members will have the opportunity to practise the skills using real situations from their own lives.
