Aim:
To learn how to play an effective role within your team.
Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will:
- understand the advantages and disadvantages of working in a team
- know the characteristics of an effective team
- have considered some theories of team development
- understand how teams constantly change and evolve
- be aware of the different 'roles' played by team members and how these complement one another
- have considered ways in which they currently contribute to their team
- take away new skills so that they can contribute more effectively
Course Duration:
This is a one day course
About the Course:
The course will be informal and participatory in nature. It will involve exercises and group work in pairs and small groups as well as in the whole group. Group members will be asked to take part in discussions around the issues raised by exercises. The course will draw upon the experiences of the participants and will involve practising communication skills.
